Cool and store baked goods

Keep them fresh.

4 min read

Cooling properly and storing well keeps baked goods at their best.

Storing

  • Cool completely before wrapping, or they'll get soggy
  • Cookies: airtight container at room temperature
  • Cakes with cream cheese or whipped cream frosting: refrigerate
  • Bread: room temperature for a day or two, or freeze sliced
  • Most cookies, cakes and breads freeze well for a few months, wrapped tightly
